60-Second Automation Audit

Goal: Find the one task you should automate first.

Time: 1 minute.

Tools needed: None. Just think and write.

Step 1: List what you do every day

Write down 3 to 5 small tasks you do over and over.

Example:

  • Sending the same emails
  • Copying info from one place to another
  • Posting the same update on social media
  • Tracking leads in a spreadsheet

Step 2: Circle your "Time Wasters"

Look at your list and circle the ones that feel boring, slow, or annoying.

Ask yourself:

If you answered yes to two or more, that's a good sign it can be automated.

Step 3: Pick your #1 Automation

From your circled list, pick one task that would save you the most time if it ran by itself.

Write it here:

Step 4: Describe what "done" looks like

Answer in one sentence:

If this task could run by itself, what would it do?

Example: "When someone fills out my form, it sends them a thank-you email and adds them to my list."

Step 5: Check your Automation Score

Give your task a score from 1–5 for each question:

I do this task often

It takes time or focus

It doesn't need my brain to do

I'd be happier if this was automatic

Your Total Score
